Eeli Tolvanen in NHL trade speculation – now a big news has emerged
The Seattle Kraken, despite rumors, is not trading Eeli Tolvanen at the NHL trade deadline, reports The Fourth Period journalist David Pagnotta.
According to Pagnotta, Tolvanen would only move before the Friday night trade deadline if an NHL team is willing to pay a significant overprice for the Finnish winger.
Tolvanen is the only notable name among Seattle players who is in the last year of his contract. This is partly why his name has been circulating in trade rumors in recent weeks.
Extension already in the works?
NHL reporter Max Miller supports Pagnotta with his own additional information.
According to Miller, Tolvanen’s camp is preparing to negotiate a contract extension with Seattle within this week. This strongly suggests that the Kraken wants to keep the Finn in their ranks for the coming years.
The 26-year-old Tolvanen has represented the Kraken for just over three seasons. This season, he has recorded 31 points in 59 games with stats of 11+20.
Known for his good shot, the winger earns just over 3.4 million dollars this season.
