Eeli Tolvanen generates “a lot of interest” in the NHL – such offers are on the table
The Eeli Tolvanen, who ended up on the NHL’s free agent market from the Seattle Kraken, still belongs to the small group of Finnish players who are still without a new team and contract.
However, the situation is not due to a lack of interest. According to NHL reporter David Pagnotta, Tolvanen has plenty of suitors, but the 27-year-old Finnish forward wants to carefully explore his options.
– There is a lot of interest around Eeli Tolvanen, but nothing is close yet. He continues to weigh 4–5 year offers, Pagnotta reports.
Tolvanen, who has represented the Kraken for the last three and a half seasons, has established himself as a quality “middle-six” forward in the NHL. The former first-round draft pick has played 423 regular season games in his career. Last season, the former teenage star recorded 36 points in 76 games with a line of 12+25.
Tolvanen earned just over $3.4 million last season, and he is expected to sign a multi-year contract with a new NHL team in the coming days.
