Dallas Stars announced their new head coach – a familiar name from Finland

The NHL’s “Finnish teams” Dallas Stars announced the name of their new head coach on Tuesday.
Glen Gulutzan, 53, will succeed Peter DeBoer as the head coach of the team next season. Gulutzan previously served as the head coach of the Stars from 2011 to 2013. For the past eight seasons, the Canadian has been an assistant coach for the Edmonton Oilers.
Prior to his time with the Oilers, Gulutzan spent two seasons as the head coach of the Calgary Flames. He is also remembered in Finland for his playing career, where the former center played for Vaasan Sport in the 1997-98 season in the then 1st division.
