Colorado suffers a terrible setback – Cale Makar injured
The Colorado Avalanche crushed the Calgary Flames with a score of 9-2 in last night’s NHL round. However, the victory was overshadowed by a harsh setback as the team’s superstar Cale Makar was injured.
Makar received a hit from Calgary’s Adam Klapka in the second period. As a result, Makar injured himself and had to leave the game. Colorado announced that Makar is suffering from an upper body injury.
Colorado’s head coach Jared Bednar did not have more information about Makar’s situation immediately after the game.
– He is being evaluated. We will know more tomorrow, Bednar said.
A longer absence for Makar would be a huge loss for Colorado. The defenseman has recorded 75 points this season in 73 games with 20+55.
Leading the entire NHL, Colorado has nine games left in the regular season before the playoffs in the spring.
