The Colorado Avalanche has received some bad news in the NHL. The team’s captain Gabriel Landeskog will be sidelined for weeks due to a lower body injury.

According to The Denver Post, Landeskog was hit in the groin by a puck shot by his teammate Cale Makar during a game against the Dallas Stars.

Landeskog has had serious injury concerns in recent years. The Swedish forward was also sidelined for about a month earlier this season when he got injured in January and returned to play for the Olympic tournament. He managed to play six games in the NHL after the Olympics before being sidelined again.

Landeskog has played 47 games this season, recording 9+20=29 points.
