Carolina Hurricanes: two top players out for a long time
The Carolina Hurricanes have received unfortunate news from the injured list.
The team announces that forward Seth Jarvis and defenseman Jaccob Slavin are both suffering from upper body injuries. As a result, the duo will be sidelined for several weeks.
Jarvis, 23, was injured in a game against the Florida Panthers over the weekend. He lost his balance when Evan Rodrigues tripped him and crashed into the Florida goal.
Slavin, 31, had just returned after being sidelined for two months due to a lower body injury. He played only three games after his return before getting injured again. Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour states that Slavin was also injured in the Panthers game as a result of a hit from A.J. Greer.
Jarvis has recorded 29 points (19+10) in 34 games this season, making him the team’s leading scorer and the second-highest point scorer after Sebastian Aho. Slavin has only been able to play five games this season.
