Canada dropped a chain surprise: teenage sensation alongside Connor McDavid!
The Canadian men’s ice hockey team took to the ice for the first time at the Milano–Cortina Olympics on Sunday evening. The practice saw some surprises in the lineups.
The biggest attention was on the first line: Connor McDavid was joined by 19-year-old teen sensation Macklin Celebrini and tough player Tom Wilson.
The second line featured center Nathan MacKinnon, with Brad Marchand and Montreal Canadiens captain Nick Suzuki alongside him. Captain Sidney Crosby, on the other hand, practiced on the third line with Mark Stone and Mitch Marner.
The fourth line consisted of Sam Reinhart, Brandon Hagel, and Bo Horvat. Also present in practice as extra forwards were Seth Jarvis and Sam Bennett.
Canada will begin its Olympic journey on February 12 against the Czech Republic.
