Big change in Ilves – leader leaves
Risto Jalo, who has served as the CEO of Tampereen Ilves since 2017, will leave his position at the end of this year.
Jukka Kytömäki will succeed Jalo as the CEO of Ilves-Hockey Oy, starting in his new role on January 1, 2027.
Kytömäki comes to the leadership of the Tampere-based club’s parent company from his position as the marketing director of the forestry machinery company Ponsse.
During Jalo’s tenure, Ilves’ revenue tripled. The selection of the new CEO is justified by Kytömäki’s strong experience in leading sales and marketing as well as building growth.
Ilves’ chairman, Jyrki Seppä, commented on the matter in a press release.
– Under Risto Jalo’s leadership, Ilves has built a strong foundation from which to continue. Now we are looking for a CEO with strong experience in leading growth, developing organizations, and the ability to lead Ilves in its next phase of development.
