The Chicago Blackhawks may have a very notable returning player in their NHL lineup for the upcoming season.

The club legend, who has won three Stanley Cup championships with the Blackhawks, Patrick Kane is currently considering a return to Chicago. The future Hall of Fame player is said to be weighing his options between the Blackhawks and his hometown NHL team, the Buffalo Sabres.

The team’s current star, Connor Bedard, who just signed a new five-year contract worth $75 million with the Blackhawks, would welcome the club legend as a teammate with open arms.

– I can’t even imagine the reception he would get in his first game. It would be amazing to play with him and learn from him. Hopefully, he chooses to come back here, Bedard told the media on Monday.

– He is still an incredible player, Bedard praised.

The 37-year-old Kane has represented the Detroit Red Wings for the last three seasons. The skilled forward is the most productive American player in NHL history with 1,400 points.
