Florida Panthers celebrated the Stanley Cup championship twice in a row in 2024 and 2025.

The team’s Finnish star Anton Lundell reveals in Sijoituskästissä a detail about the championship celebrations after the latter victory, where teammate Eetu Luostarinen was close to injuring himself quite badly.

– It was said that there were 500,000 people at our parade. Full sun and everything went perfectly. It was a long day. After the championship celebrations, we all went to the restaurant upstairs in our practice facility, with our families. We danced there. The Finns did pretty well and set an example.

– Luostarinen Eetu was dancing on the table. However, we had been spraying drinks and champagne quite a bit, and there was liquid on the table. (Luostarinen) slipped and got a small cut on his head. He had to go to the hospital for stitches in the middle of the celebrations.

– We took him there and managed to bring him back. Luckily, nothing worse happened. A little episode like that occurred, Lundell recalls.

Luostarinen continued the celebrations with the rest of the team even after the hospital visit.

– We insisted as a team that he had to come back. It was our last night. After that, the celebrations ended, summer vacation began, and everyone went home.

Lundell revealed with a smile that he had received permission from Luostarinen to tell the story.
