A wild trade rumor has emerged about Artemi Panarin, one of the long-term star forwards in the NHL.

Insider sources have previously hinted at the Russian artist’s desire to leave the New York Rangers after this season. However, new, wild tones have emerged from Russia regarding the trade rumors.

The club’s former superstar and Stanley Cup winner Aleksei Kovalev claims that Panarin is considering leaving the NHL and returning to Russia’s KHL. Kovalev spoke about this in an interview with RG, although the NHL legend emphasizes that these claims are still at the rumor level.

Kovalev states that Panarin feels disrespected in the Rangers.

– Money isn’t everything – far from it. The place, comfort, and the people around you matter more. Sometimes you can give up money and enjoy the environment and the team you play with, Kovalev reasons.

– I don’t know if the rumors (about Panarin’s return to the KHL) are true, but that’s how people are talking, the NHL legend adds.

The Rangers, who have lost their last three games, are currently third from the bottom in the Eastern Conference, but they are only two points away from a playoff spot in a highly competitive conference.
