Florida Panthers receives a shocking reinforcement to their lineup in the NHL.
The reigning Stanley Cup champion announced on Monday that the superstar Matthew Tkachuk, who has been sidelined for the entire early season, is finally returning to the active roster.
Tkachuk, 28, will be in the lineup for the home game against the San Jose Sharks on Tuesday night.
Tkachuk, who suffered groin injuries during last season’s playoffs, underwent surgery in August and began skating training at the turn of the year.
Last season, Tkachuk played 55 games in the regular season, recording 22+35=57 points. In the playoffs, the American star accumulated 23 points (8+15) in 23 games.
Tkachuk is one of the biggest stars for the USA in the Olympic tournament taking place in February.
