A new weapon has been found in North America – a 193-centimeter paintball gun is moving to the League!
Swedish forward Isak Walther moves to Vaasan Sport on a one-year contract, the club announces.
The tall 193-centimeter right-shooting forward played 62 games in the ECHL last season and recorded 23+20=43 points. He also played four games in the AHL. Before this, Walther spent four seasons in the NCAA with the University of Vermont.
Vaasan Sport’s head coach Lauri Mikkola sees a lot of potential in the big forward.
– Isak is a large 193 cm tall right winger. He has gone through the college path and played his first professional season in the ECHL last year, having a convincing season. He can play both ways, has an excellent shot, and is a clever player on the ice.
– I believe he will fit very well in the Liiga and find his place in our team. There is a possibility to have a great season, , Mikkola describes the new Swedish addition.
