A new NHL twist was revealed around Patrik Laine.
Patrik Laine has experienced a new turn in the NHL as the New York Islanders have entered the race for the Finnish forward.
According to NHL.com reporter Stefen Rosner, the Islanders are one of the teams that have shown interest in Laine. Rosner states that the Islanders are actively seeking reinforcements for their offense.
Previously, Laine has also been linked in trade rumors to the Los Angeles Kings and Tampa Bay Lightning.
The Finnish forward’s last season with the Montreal Canadiens was very short due to injuries. He played five games in the regular season and recorded one assist.
Despite a difficult season, Laine’s goal-scoring ability still attracts NHL teams. He has played a total of 537 games in the NHL regular season, scoring 224 goals and 422 points.
