A hefty paycheck for the goal scorer – San Jose Sharks struck again
The San Jose Sharks have signed a new contract in the NHL. The team’s latest signing is forward Collin Graf, who will continue with the Sharks on a three-year deal.
Graf, who was a restricted free agent, will earn 4.25 million dollars per season under the new contract. The total value of the contract is 12.75 million dollars.
Sharks GM Mike Grier believes the forward will be an important piece in the coming years.
– Collin played a big role in our team’s development last season. He is an effective penalty killer, and his versatility is extremely valuable to us. His hard work and work ethic are major reasons why he made a big leap forward last season, Grier said in a statement from the team.
Graf had a breakout season in the NHL last year. He recorded 21 goals and 25 assists for a total of 46 points in 81 regular season games.
The Sharks have been one of the most active teams in the NHL this summer. The team strengthened its defense with Darnell Nurse, Michael Kesselring, and Jacob Trouba, and drafted super prospect Ivar Stenberg in the second round of the summer draft.
Additionally, the Sharks recently secured their star player Macklin Celebrini with a record annual salary of 18.8 million dollars. Celebrini’s contract, which will take effect in the fall of 2027, is for five years.
