Rattikäry in the League – foreign reinforcement out!
Bogdans Hodassin career with Mikkelin Jukurit ends due to a drunk driving incident. The Liiga club announced on Thursday that they have mutually agreed to terminate the Latvian defender’s contract.
Hodass states in the club’s announcement that he received a summons for drunk driving on Tuesday. The matter is currently being handled by the district court.
– My mistake led to court proceedings, and this Tuesday I received a summons for drunk driving in court. We have openly discussed this with the club and reached a mutual agreement to terminate my contract, the player says in the announcement.
Jukurit justifies the termination of the contract by the club’s values.
– What happened is against the values of Mikkelin Jukurit’s operations, which is why the parties have decided to mutually terminate the existing player contract, the announcement states.
The 23-year-old Hodass managed to play 11 games this season, collecting stats of 1+3=4. He played his first games with Jukurit last season. The defender has also represented the Latvian national team.
In his farewell message, Hodass addressed the entire Jukurit community.
– I want to tell the club and the entire community that I apologize for my mistake and take responsibility for my foolish and irresponsible behavior. I want to thank Jukurit for the opportunity I had in Mikkeli and wish the club success in the future.
