A big rumor dropped about Patrik Laine!
The Los Angeles Kings are looking for reinforcement for their top lines. The team is reported to have been closely following Patrik Laine.
According to The Fourth Period reporter Dennis Bernstein, the Kings have been in contact with the Montreal Canadiens and inquired about Laine’s availability. Despite discussions, no comprehensive deal has been found between the parties yet, and Los Angeles is said to be exploring other options.
Sportsnet’s NHL reporter Elliotte Friedman also brought up the topic on FAN Hockey Show. Friedman assessed that Los Angeles could be a logical destination for Laine, but the messages he has received have indicated that a trade would be unlikely. However, Kevin Fiala’s injury might influence the Kings’ considerations and bring the matter back into discussion.
Laine has been sidelined from NHL games since the end of October due to a muscle injury. At the beginning of the season, he managed to play five games and recorded one assist.
