Vancouver’s star forward changes scenery in the NHL – here is the new team!

Vancouver Canucks forward Conor Garland is moving to the Columbus Blue Jackets. In return, Vancouver receives a 3rd round draft pick for this summer’s draft and a 2nd round draft pick for 2028.
Garland, 29, was in his fifth season with Vancouver. He recorded 26 points in 50 games this season with 7 goals and 19 assists. Last season he scored 50 points.
Last summer, Garland signed a six-year extension with Vancouver with an annual salary of six million dollars. This contract is valid until 2032.
Garland has also previously represented the Arizona Coyotes in the NHL.
General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the #Canucks have acquired a second-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft and a third-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft from the Columbus Blue Jackets in exchange for F Conor Garland.
