Urheilucast: Jokerit is preparing a notable acquisition – former HIFK star player in sight
The Jokerit are making notable acquisitions for their team returning to the Liiga next season.
On Tuesday, it was reported that SaiPa’s star center Antti Kalapudas will be joining the team next season, and now there is another name added to the rumor mill. Urheilucast highlights another prominent forward that Jokerit is targeting.
– According to Urheilucast, Helsinki Jokerit is convincingly pursuing Kristian Vesalainen, hints Esko Seppänen, the host of Urheilucast, referring to his sources.
The 26-year-old Vesalainen’s transfer from HIFK to HPK this season has been disappointing in terms of performance. The former first-round draft pick of the Winnipeg Jets, who has played 70 NHL games, has scored only two goals and 15 points in 26 games with “Kerho”.
Just last season, Vesalainen excelled in an HIFK jersey, accumulating 36 points with a tally of 17+19 in 40 regular-season games.
