Tragedy during the date – 19-year-old hockey player died
The Russian ice hockey player Amir Khanov has died at just 19 years old. The young player’s death is reported by Sportmail.ru.
According to reports, Khanov was spending the evening with his girlfriend at a pottery workshop in Ufa when he suddenly lost consciousness during the workshop.
Emergency services were quickly called to the scene, and attempts were made to resuscitate him. Despite the efforts, the 19-year-old hockey player could not be saved.
According to the Russian state news agency TASS, Khanov had heart problems. The news agency reported that his death was caused by a detached blood clot.
Khanov was a product of the KHL team Salavat Yulaev Ufa. He won the Sirius Cup in 2022 while representing the Volga Federal District team.
In the last two seasons, Khanov played in the Russian Junior Ice Hockey League NMHL. He represented Polet Rybinski and Samara.
The young forward played a total of 40 games in the NMHL and scored eight points.
