Swedish forward Jesper Olofsson has attracted interest among Liiga clubs. According to Expressen particularly Mikkelin Jukurit is very interested in the 34-year-old winger and has made an inquiry about him.

Expressen reported on Monday that Olofsson and HockeyAllsvenskan club MoDo Hockey have mutually agreed to terminate their contract, even though there was one year left on it.

Olofsson has had a long and successful career in Europe’s top leagues. He has played several seasons in Sweden’s SHL as well as in the Swiss top league. In his most productive season with SCL Tigers, Olofsson scored as many as 50 points (25+25). Additionally, he has represented the Swedish national team in nine games.

In recent years, Olofsson has represented MoDo Hockey. In the 2024–25 season, he collected 32 points (13+19) in 49 games in the SHL. In the recently concluded season in HockeyAllsvenskan, he played 45 games with a total of 15+14=29 points.
