Source: Several top clubs are after the Finnish talent: “An attractive player”
Finnish forward Patrik Puistola, 25, represents the SHL team Örebro HK for his second season. His contract with the club expires at the end of this season.
Expressen reports that Örebro wants to secure Puistola for next season as well. However, the Swedish newspaper states that other top clubs are also interested in Puistola. For example, the top SHL team Frölunda HC is very interested in Puistola, as the club is losing Jere Innala to Switzerland.
Puistola is Örebro’s second-best goal scorer and third-best point getter, with 34 games resulting in 11+15=26 points. Last season, he scored 18+21=39 points in 52 regular season games and had 3+1 in three playoff games.
– We have had discussions with Patrik and his representatives. He is an attractive player on the market. From our perspective, it is clear, but I understand that it will be difficult, Örebro’s sports director Henrik Löwdahl commented to Expressen.
– He has a strong desire to choose the best sporting option for himself. We hope that it is Örebro. If not, then we will have to figure something else out. That’s how it works. The player makes his choice, Löwdahl continues.
Puistola has also been seen in the national team in recent years. He represented the Lions in the last two World Championships. He has participated in both EHT tournaments this season.
