New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin is likely to change scenery before the NHL trade deadline.
NHL reporter Elliotte Friedman reports that the Rangers want at least the same trade value for Panarin as the Colorado Avalanche paid for Brock Nelson last year. In the Nelson trade, a 1st and 3rd round draft picks were included, as well as Oliver Kylington and Calum Ritchie.
Several teams are interested in Panarin, including the Los Angeles Kings, Carolina Hurricanes, Dallas Stars, Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, and Washington Capitals. This season, the Russian talent has scored 19 goals and provided 37 assists in 51 games.
The NHL trade ban during the Olympics begins on February 4.
