JYP announced on Friday that it has terminated the contract of forward Mikko Perttu that was set to last until next season. Journalist Janne Onnela reports on X that Perttu will play for SaiPa next season.
– A team player with a good work ethic will surely get the necessary boost for his career from Raipen SaiPa. It will be interesting to see how far it takes him, Onnela writes.
Perttu, 25, represented JYP from the 2022-23 season onwards. He played a total of 135 games for the club, scoring 12+42=54 points.
This season, Perttu recorded 5+11=16 points in 50 regular season games with JYP.
