Power forward Jesper Olofsson: Liiga contract
Forward Jesper Olofsson, 34, who has made a name for himself in the Swiss league and SHL, has signed a one-year contract with Mikkelin Jukurit.
Olofsson played this season in the second highest league in Sweden, Hockey Allsvenskan, for MoDo.
– Jesper brings a wealth of experience, skill, and competitiveness. Olofsson has played in tough environments, in significant roles, and under pressure. He is exactly the type of forward we needed for the upcoming season. Jesper brings both scoring ability and the confidence and leadership that comes with experience, says Jukurit’s sports director Mikko Hakkarainen.
Olofsson scored 29 points (15+14) in 45 Allsvenskan games. In the 2024-25 season, the winger recorded 13+19=32 points in the SHL.
Olofsson has also made a name for himself in the highly competitive Swiss league, where he has tallied 137 points (66+71) in 159 games.
