Pelicans: a huge setback!
The Pelicans suffered a heavy blow on Friday.
The Pussinokat defeated Sport 3-0 in the League round on Friday. However, the victory came at a high cost.
Pelicans forwards Kim Nieminen and Christoffer Forsberg had to leave the game due to injuries. Nieminen played for just under six minutes in the match. Forsberg, on the other hand, played for just over eight minutes.
Nieminen has been the third-best scorer for the Pelicans this season. He has recorded 11 points in 24 games with 3+8=11. Forsberg, on the other hand, has been a reliable two-way worker, scoring 7 points in 27 games with 5+2=7.
The Pelicans’ infirmary was already crowded. Missing from the team’s lineup are Lukas Zetterberg, Roni Karvinen, Miro Väänänen, Brett Stapley, and Mikko Kousa.
