Otto Kivenmäki: the new club has been revealed!
SaiPa’s 25-year-old forward Otto Kivenmäki is moving to Sweden, reports the Swedish Expressen. Kivenmäki will join SHL team Timrå IK after the 2025–26 season.
– According to Expressen, Timrå has now reached an agreement with Finnish Otto Kivenmäki, who was previously offered to SHL teams and wanted to move to the SHL, Expressen writes.
Kivenmäki was one of SaiPa’s best players this season. The forward, who has played his third season with the Lappeenranta team, recorded 60 regular season games with stats of 11+46=57 and was the team’s second-highest scorer.
Throughout his entire Liiga career, Kivenmäki has played 403 games with stats of 62+172=234. He has also previously represented Pelicans and his youth club Ässät.
Kivenmäki’s contract with SaiPa ends after this season.
