Magazine: Goal scorer Reid Gardiner changes teams

Reid Gardiner will not continue with the SHL team Växjö Lakers next season. According to Swedish newspaper Expressen, Gardiner’s contract with Timrå is almost finalized.
Gardiner played several effective seasons in Finland. The Canadian forward, known for his powerful shot, won the league’s goal scoring title in the 2022-23 season, scoring 27 goals with JYP. He played in Finland for four seasons, representing JYP, HIFK, and Kärpät.
In the SHL, Gardiner has not yet risen to star player status. This season, he recorded 15 goals and 15 assists for a total of 30 points in 49 games with Växjö.
Timrå is assembling an impressive team for next season. According to Expressen, SaiPa’s superstar Otto Kivenmäki is also set to join the team next season.
