Kometa Brno, playing in the top league, has released several players from its roster. One of the departures is the forward Simon Stransky, known from the Liiga.
Stransky played 52 games for Kometa Brno last season, achieving stats of 8+24=32.
The contract was not extended after the season, so the 182-centimeter winger is now a free agent.
Stransky is a familiar name for Finns from Jukurit and Ilves. During his four seasons in the Liiga, he played a total of 179 games and collected points of 33+71=104.
In his best season 2021–22 with Jukurit, Stransky scored 14+23=37 points and was the team’s third-best scorer.
Stransky’s next destination is unknown. He could be a valuable addition to the Liiga next season.
