Leaflet: Jukurit is preparing a terrifying raid for the attack!
The experienced Swedish forward Jesper Olofsson may move to the SM-liiga next season. According to the Swedish newspaper Expressen, Mikkelin Jukurit has shown interest in the 34-year-old winger and made an inquiry about him.
Having had a long and successful career, Olofsson has played several years in Sweden’s SHL and in the top league in Switzerland. In his best season with SCL Tigers, he scored an impressive 50 points (25+25). Additionally, he has represented the Swedish national team in nine games.
In recent seasons, Olofsson has played for MoDo Hockey. In the 2024–25 season, he recorded 32 points (13+19) in 49 games in the SHL, and in the current season in HockeyAllsvenskan, he has 29 points (15+14) in 45 games.
However, Olofsson did not want to comment on a possible move to Finland when speaking to Expressen.
– I can’t say anything about this right now. These two years after returning home have been difficult. We had a goal last season that we did not achieve. Then a new goal this year, and we didn’t achieve that either.
When asked about his interest in Finland, he replied:
– I’m not focusing on that at the moment. I’m currently focused only on the playoffs. But that’s how it is, clubs reach out, and that will surely always be the case.
