Kai Suikkanen reshuffled the KooKoo roster – a flopped star to the stands
Kai Suikkanen made his debut as KooKoo’s head coach on Friday in the Liiga, as the Kouvola team, which started its season with ten losses, takes on Jukurit at home.
Suikkanen has completely reshuffled KooKoo’s lineup. The most notable decision is leaving Robert Rooban entirely out of the playing roster.
The Estonian forward has scored only one goal in ten early-season Liiga games. Just last season, the winger recorded 39 points in 59 regular-season games with 15 goals and 24 assists.
In addition to Rooban, Santeri Sulku and Ville Puhakka will also be left out of the lineup.
Replacing the trio in the playing roster will be Akseli Mäkinen, Joona Riekkinen, and Verner Miettinen.
Suikkanen’s team’s challenge for tonight’s match is tough. Jukurit is currently sitting in second place in the Liiga standings.
