Jyväskylä’s JYP and forward Mikko Perttu have mutually agreed to terminate their player contract. Perttu’s contract was originally set to run until the end of the 2026–2027 season.
Perttu, hailing from Järvenpää, joined JYP for the 2022–2023 season. During his three seasons with the club, he played a total of 135 Liiga games.
– Based on the discussions held after the season, we reached a solution together with Perttu, where the paths of the player and the club will part ways. I want to thank Perttu for his contributions to JYP in the past seasons, JYP’s sports director Simo Mälkiä states in a press release.
Perttu’s next destination is not yet known.
