Historical contract offers were left on the table in Switzerland – the Finnish star duo is changing scenery!
HC Ajoie, playing in the Swiss top league, will lose two Finnish stars after the current season. The club announces on its website that defender Anttoni Honka and forward Kristian Tanus will not continue with the team next season.
Ajoie states that it tried to convince the Finnish duo to stay with the club. Contract negotiations began early in the season, and the club was prepared to make a significant financial investment to retain the players.
Blick also reported earlier this week that Ajoie had made the most lucrative contract offers in its history to Honka and Tanus.
However, the efforts did not yield results, as both Honka and Tanus have decided to pursue new challenges. There is no information yet regarding their addresses for next season.
Tanus, playing his first season in Switzerland, has recorded strong stats of 6+20=26 points in 19 games. He is second in the league’s scoring leaderboard.
Honka, playing his third season with Ajoie, has scored 10+7=17 points in 19 games. He is the second most effective defender in the league.
