The Edmonton Oilers and Vancouver Canucks have made a trade. Power forward Evander Kane, 33, will move to Vancouver in exchange for a 4th-round draft pick in 2025.

Kane played four productive seasons in Edmonton. This season, he was out for the entire regular season but scored 6+6=12 in 21 playoff games.

Kane’s annual salary is 5.125 million dollars. Edmonton now has 17 million dollars in cap space. However, the team still needs to sign a contract extension with top defenseman Evan Bouchard.
