Nikita Kucherov wants to stand alongside these NHL megastars – the names have been revealed!
Tampa Bay Lightning’s Nikita Kucherov, 33, is interested in playing alongside the biggest superstars in the NHL.
RG.org’s reporter Daria Tuboltseva reports citing an anonymous NHL source that the Russian forward would like to play with Connor McDavid, Auston Matthews, or David Pastrnak.
According to the source, Toronto could especially be a possible new destination for Kucherov in the summer of 2027, when the forward can change teams as a free agent.
Kucherov has already informed Tampa Bay that he does not intend to sign an extension and has requested a trade to another NHL team. According to the star forward, the rift is due to the management’s lack of communication and respect during contract negotiations.
Sportsnet’s insider reporter Elliotte Friedman previously stated that Kucherov might consider a move to Toronto or the Montreal Canadiens.
Tampa Bay’s GM Julien BriseBois, however, is not ready to part with the Russian star. He has stated that the team has no intention of trading Kucherov.
