Change in the Leijonat team: gold lion sidelined due to injury
There has been a change in the Lions team for the Tampere EHT tournament.
Saku Mäenalanen, who has won World Championship gold and Olympic gold in his career, has withdrawn from the team due to injury. Petteri Puhakka has been called up to replace him in the Lions group.
Puhakka moved this season from Tappara to EHC Kloten, which plays in the Swiss top league. He has started the season strongly, scoring 8+8=16 points in 21 games.
The Finnish EHT tournament, previously known as the Karjala tournament, will be held in Tampere at the Nokia Arena from November 6 to 9.
