The Canadian national team has received bad news. Chicago Blackhawks’ 20-year-old superstar Connor Bedard will not participate in the World Championships.
The news was reported by NHL journalist Elliotte Friedman on X.
– Unfortunately, Connor Bedard is not able to represent Canada in the upcoming World Championships. He really wanted to go, but he was told that for the sake of next season, it is best to rehabilitate his injury and skip the tournament, Friedman says.
Bedard suffered a shoulder injury in December. The injury kept the young center out of games for a month.
Despite the injury, the season was Bedard’s most productive. He recorded 75 points in 69 games with stats of 30+45.
