Aleksander Barkov made history in the World Championship final – this fact makes you rub your eyes

Aleksander Barkov led Finland to the world championship as captain when the Lions defeated Switzerland 1–0 in the World Cup final in overtime.
The victory placed Barkov in rare company. He became only the second player in history to serve as captain of both an NHL Stanley Cup-winning team and a hockey world championship team.
Previously, only Canada’s superstar Sidney Crosby had achieved this, lifting the World Cup trophy in the spring of 2015.
Barkov has won the Stanley Cup with the Florida Panthers as captain, and now he has also added the World Championship gold with the Finnish national team to his achievements.
Aleksander Barkov becomes only the second player in professional hockey history to both captain an NHL team to a Stanley Cup Championship and his country to a World Hockey Championship.
