A huge setback for the Jokers – star forward out for a long time!
The Jokerit have received terrible news. The star forward Teemu Turunen, acquired during the summer, will be out on a long sick leave.
The Jokerit weekly review reveals that Turunen will be sidelined for approximately 6-8 weeks. Turunen managed to record 0+3 points in three games at the beginning of the season.
In addition to Turunen, the Jokerit currently have defender Olli Juolevi on the injured list, with a recovery estimate of 4-6 weeks.
Since last week, the name of Patrik Virta has disappeared from the Jokerit injury list, so the forward is likely to be seen on the ice for the first time this season soon.
The Jokerit have lost all three of their early season games and have only collected one point. They will play their first home game of the season this Thursday against JYP.
