Pori Ässät is set to lose their top center Jan-Mikael Järvinen, 37, after the current season.
According to Yle Urheilu, the veteran forward who represented the Lions in last spring’s World Championships in Stockholm will continue his career next season with Tampereen Ilves.
Järvinen, who is in his fourth season with Ässät and serves as the team’s captain, has played 28 games this season with stats of 8+16=26. The skilled power play specialist also represented Finland in the early-season Tampere EHT tournament.
Järvinen is originally a product of Ilves. However, the forward has only represented the team in three Liiga games so far.
