NHL will continue on Viaplay’s channels in the coming years. The parties have signed a new agreement that covers the next five seasons and starts immediately with the upcoming 2026-27 season.

With the new agreement, Viaplay will exclusively show at least 900 NHL regular season games, most of the playoffs, and all games from the conference finals and the Stanley Cup finals. As usual, there will also be games available at optimal viewing times for Finnish audiences.

In addition to the games, Viaplay offers top-notch studio productions, highlights, and a variety of supplementary content.

Viewers can expect familiar and esteemed quality: world-class productions, top-level Finnish commentators and experts, in-depth studio segments, and storytelling that brings the best hockey in the world closer to home audiences, says Viaplay Group Finland’s sports director Jussi Ranta in a statement.

Viaplay offers a unique sports package. In addition to the NHL, it includes Formula 1, the Premier League, the Ski World Cup, UEFA Europa and Conference League, UFC, CHL, golf, darts, and MotoGP.
