Urheilucast: Tappara made a bold heist from a competitor’s camp – one significant condition
Tappara is close to a significant defensive acquisition for next season, reports Urheilucast. According to Esko Seppänen, the 22-year-old defender from Kiekko-Espoo, Kasper Kulonummi, will move to Tampere if his NHL dreams do not come true.
Seppänen emphasizes that there is one important condition related to the transfer.
– Kasper Kulonummi will play for Tappara next season if – note if – he does not move specifically to North America, Seppänen states in the broadcast.
Kulonummi can only transfer to an NHL organization, not to other foreign leagues.
– It is important to emphasize that Kulonummi’s contract allows a transfer only to the NHL, not for example to Central Europe, Seppänen explains.
The defender has previously been reported to be aiming for North America and the Nashville Predators organization.
Kulonummi moved to Kiekko-Espoo in the summer of 2024 from Tappara. This season, he played 42 regular season games with stats of 7+14=21.
A product of Jokerit, he was drafted into the NHL in 2022 in the third round.
