Urheilucast: Oula Palve is attracting interest in the League – two teams on his heels
The anticipated “super season” of the league will kick off on Tuesday, but in several clubs, the team building continues right at the threshold of the season.
One of the most interesting free Finnish names on the transfer market is Oula Palve. The experienced center forward played last season in Switzerland and Sweden, but now a return to Finland may be on the horizon.
According to Urheilucast, there is currently serious interest in the 34-year-old Palve in the league. The podcast host Esko Seppänen reports that two league teams are targeting the star center.
– The 34-year-old quality center Oula Palve is on the radar of two different league teams, and not just casually but with serious intent, Seppänen says.
Seppänen estimates that Palve may not be the only notable returnee this fall.
– I firmly believe that during this super season, these world-traveled millionaires may start appearing in the league more broadly throughout the fall, Seppänen adds.
Palve was last seen in the league during the 2023–24 season, when he made a significant impact while playing for Ilves. The skilled center forward won the entire league’s scoring title with impressive stats of 20+44=64 in 60 games.
