Urheilucast: HIFK is preparing a high-profile capture from another Liiga team!
HIFK is looking for a new sports director after Janne Pesonen left the club in the fall. The strongest candidate now appears to be the long-time sports director of Pelicans, Janne Laukkanen.
According to Urheilucast, the situation has progressed significantly, and Laukkanen is currently the top candidate for the position.
– The GM search process for Helsingin IFK is well known. It is currently underway. Right now, according to Urheilucast, the closest to this position is Janne ‘Lelu’ Laukkanen,” Esko Seppänen described the situation in the broadcast.
According to Seppänen, Laukkanen is currently regarded as the clear frontrunner. Discussions are said to have progressed significantly, and meetings have also taken place in Helsinki.
– In fact, Laukkanen has even had a job interview at Nordis this week, so there probably aren’t many candidates left, as decisions at the GM level will soon need to be made, Seppänen says.
HIFK has not yet confirmed a possible appointment, but decisions are expected soon.
