Juho Lammikko, who terminated his NHL contract with the New Jersey Devils on Thursday, is returning to Europe.

According to Urheilucast, the next destination for the 30-year-old two-time World Champion is the Zürich Lions.

– The contract has already been signed according to Urheilucast, the transfer is complete, and his career continues at the familiar address by the Alps, reports Urheilucast’s Esko Seppänen.

Lammikko represented the Lions for three previous seasons. Last season, the forward scored 38 points with 13 goals and 25 assists in 48 regular-season games.

There is another Finnish player on the team, the only defender selected from European leagues for the Lions’ Olympic team, Mikko Lehtonen.

Lammikko played 24 NHL games this season with the Devils, recording 0 goals and 2 assists.
