Teemu Pulkkinen, who moved from Kiekko-Vantaa to the second highest league in Germany last week, was reportedly also on the radar of several Liiga teams.

Urheilucast’s host Esko Seppänen revealed in a podcast that Pulkkinen had face-to-face negotiations with Liiga teams.

Seppänen stated in the broadcast that the threshold for Liiga teams to hire Pulkkinen, who previously played in Russia, has lowered after the PR hit taken by Kiekko-Vantaa. Seppänen sees a possible route for the controversial forward to Liiga next season.

This season, Pulkkinen played in eight games for Kiekko-Vantaa, with stats of 7+1. The 33-year-old forward utilized the foreign option in his contract.
