The forward of Ässät, Jonne Tammela,’s contract ends after this season. Urheilucast reports in their Instagram stories that Kärpät and KooKoo are interested in Tammela and are involved in the bidding war.

Tammela, 28, is currently playing his second season with Ässät. Injuries have disrupted the forward’s previous seasons, which is why his number of games has been limited.

In this season’s regular season, Tammela was able to play 39 games, but still managed to achieve strong stats of 16+19=35. This point total secured him third place in Ässät’s internal scoring list.

In the opening round of the playoffs, Tammela scored 2+1 in five games against Kiekko-Espoo. Ässät continues their games in the quarter-finals against SaiPa.

In the league, Tammela has previously represented KalPa, Lukko, TPS, and SaiPa. He won the Finnish championship with Lukko in the spring of 2021.
