Urheilucast: A new twist for Jonne Tammela – another Liiga club is enticing with a substantial offer
HPK is aiming to acquire forward Jonne Tammela. Urheilucast reports that the Hämeenlinna club has made a “substantial offer” to the forward who has played for Ässät in recent seasons.
According to Urheilucast, Tammela has also been pursued by KooKoo and Kärpät. The forward has been exploring options to continue his career abroad for a long time, and alternatives have not only been sought from the highest-level leagues.
However, based on the latest information, the situation has changed.
– It now seems that the overseas door is closing and HPK is involved in this mix, Esko Seppänen says in the broadcast.
Seppänen estimates that a potential transfer would be similar in nature to the surprise acquisition of Kristian Vesalainen.
The 29-year-old Tammela represented Ässät for the last two seasons. Last season, he played 39 Liiga games and recorded a total of 16+18=34 points.
