Two Swedish players leave Sport – new clubs confirmed

The league bottom team Vaasan Sport announced on Thursday that two Swedish players are leaving the club.
Defender Ludvig Claesson, 29, is moving to Switzerland’s top team HC Davos for the remainder of the season. Forward Ludvig Larsson, 30, has signed a contract with SHL team Linköping HC until the spring of 2028.
Claesson played 43 games for Sport, scoring 1+9 points. Before his move to Finland, he had played his entire previous career in his home country. Claesson won the SHL championship with Växjö Lakers in 2023.
Larsson played only nine games for Sport due to injury, with a total of 1+5 points. He last played in October. Larsson’s trophy cabinet includes a CHL championship won with Rögle in 2022.
