JYP’s star forward Leevi Tukiainen was injured two weekends ago in the KalPa match. He has not played since and will not be seen on the ice for a long time.

JYP updated their website that Tukiainen will be out of action for six weeks. According to this estimate, Tukiainen’s return would coincide with the final round of the regular season, as JYP will play their last match of the regular season in six weeks.

Tukiainen, 26, leads the league’s goal scoring chart and is sixth in points. He has recorded 29 goals and 15 assists for a total of 44 points in 40 games this season.

Among JYP’s forwards, Mikko Perttu is also injured. He is expected to be out for approximately 2-3 weeks. JYP also received positive news from the injury list, as Santeri Huovila is expected to return to the lineup this week.
